      For guests arriving by car:
      Simply search for “Ferie Lodge” on Google Maps, and it will take you directly here.

      From the Kan-Etsu Expressway,
      Take the Fujioka Junction and continue toward the Joshin-Etsu Expressway.

      About 30 km (approx. 40 minutes) from Usui-Karuizawa IC

      About 35 minutes from Karuizawa Station (Hokuriku Shinkansen)
      About 30 minutes from Nakakaruizawa Station (Shinano Railway)

      About 10 minutes from the intersection of "Shiraito Falls Entrance" on Route 146
      (Shiraito Falls, one of Karuizawa’s most scenic spots, is about a 5-minute drive from this intersection via the toll road.)

      About 7 minutes from the intersection of "Asama Farm" on Route 146
      About 5 minutes from the intersection of "Kita-Karuizawa" on Route 146

      After passing the intersection of "Shiraito Falls Entrance",

    • Outdoor private zone (Exclusive use for Ferie Lodge guest)
      Guests have exclusive use of a spacious garden with sauna.
      Even if it rains, you can also enjoy BBQs under a covered gazebo.
      Children and pets can play in the nearby play area (log steps) and dog run within view.

      Restaurants and farmers’ markets are within walking distance, where you can enjoy meals or shop for fresh produce.

      Japanese convenience stores (7-Eleven and LAWSON) are about 5 minutes away by car, located near the intersection of Kita-Karuizawa.
      Farmers' market named Kubo Nouen is next to LAWSON.

      Farmers' market named Hanyuda is 5-minutes walk from the lodge
      and is open from July/M to October/M.
      This market is known for its legendary local cabbage, often called the “phantom cabbage 419” for its exceptional flavor and rarity.

      Free Wi-Fi is not only provided inside the lodge but at the BBQ and sauna area.
    • Around Ferie Lodge Restaurant, Soft serve stand, etc.
      Italian restaurant named "Caffe Junrieno" is a 2-minute walk from the lodge and is open for lunch. You can enjoy authentic stone-oven pizza made with local ingredients.

      About a 2-minute walk from the lodge, next to Caffe Junrieno, you’ll find a small milk stand, "Gyunyu-ya" that sells soft-serve ice cream and cheese made from organic milk produced at a local farm.

    • Outdoor barrel sauna in Private Zone
      The sauna and outdoor relaxation wood deck are surrounded by wood panels and can be securely locked.
    • Usage guidelines of sauna
      The sauna is across the small road next to the parking area.
      The sauna and the parking area is next to the residential houses.
      For the comfort of nearby residents, please DO NOT WALK NAKED between the lodge and sauna.
      Please wear the provided sauna poncho or your own clothing when moving between them.
    • How to use the sauna
      The sauna uses an electric stove.
      Please refer to the usage instructions provided at the entrance of the sauna.
      It takes about 30–40 minutes to reach optimal temperature after setting the power and timer.
    • Policy for pets
      One small dog is allowed.
      There is a private dog run in the garden where you can enjoy your vacation together.
      Please review the “Pet Policy” and “What to Bring for Pets” of Terms and Conditions before your stay.
    • Meals and catering services for dinner
      No meals are provided except catering services.
      Catering service are required to place your orders by the day before the meal is to be served. Orders are to be confirmed by online invoice and payment.

      BBQ grill is available for free rental during your stay.
      Please purchase groceries at nearby markets or supermarkets.

      Outside of Ferie Lodge, there are families with infants in nearby houses,
      so Ferie Lodge prohibits smoking outside because of the impact of smoking to the others.

    • Cancellation policy
      The following cancellation fees will be applied:

      30% — 8 to 14 days before arrival
      50% — 4 to 7 days before arrival
      100% — 3 days before arrival
      100% — No-show

      (These are based on the cancellation policy listed in the Lodging Terms and Conditions, Appendix 2.)
    • Inquiry for early check-in or late check-out
      Please contact us by the day before your stay.
      An additional fee of ¥2,200 (Incl. tax) per hour will be applied if the lodge is available.
  • Accommodation Agreement
    • Article 1. Scope of Application
      1. Contracts for accommodation and related agreements to be entered into
      between this Lodge and the Guest to be accommodated shall be subject to
      these Terms and Conditions. Any particulars not provided herein shall be
      governed by laws and regulations and/or generally accepted practices.
      2. In the case when the Lodge has entered into a special contract with the Guest insofar as such special contract does not violate laws and regulations and generally accepted practices the special contract shall take precedence over the provisions of these Terms and Conditions, notwithstanding the preceding Paragraph.
    • Article 2. Application for Accommodation Contract
      1. A Guest who intends to make an application for an Accommodation Contract with the Lodge shall notify the Lodge of the following particulars:
      A) Name of the Guest(s);
      B) Date of accommodation and estimated time of arrival;
      C) Accommodation charges (based in principle on the Basic Accommodation
      Charges listed in the Attached Table No. 1); and
      D) Other particulars deemed necessary by the Lodge.
      2. If Guests request to extend their stay, during their stay, beyond the date in
      subparagraph (2) of the preceding Paragraph, it shall be regarded as an
      application for a new Accommodation Contract at the time such request is
      made.
    • Article 3. Conclusion of Accommodation Contracts, etc.
      1. A Contract for Accommodation shall be deemed to have been concluded
      when the Lodge has duly accepted the application as stipulated in the
      preceding Article. However, the same shall not apply where it has been
      proved that the Lodge has not accepted the application.
      2. When a Contract for Accommodation has been concluded in accordance with the provisions of the preceding Paragraph, the Guest is requested to pay an accommodation deposit set by the Lodge within the limits of Basic Accommodation Charges covering the Guest's entire period of stay (3 days when the period of stay exceeds 3 days) by the date specified by the Lodge.
      3. The deposit shall be first used for the Total Accommodation Charge to be
      paid by the Guest, secondly for cancellation charges under Article 6 and
      thirdly for reparations under Article 18 as applicable. The remainder, if any,
      shall be refunded at the time of payment for accommodation as stated in
      Article 12.
      4. If the Guest fails to pay the deposit by the date as stipulated in Paragraph 2, the Lodge shall treat the Accommodation Contract as invalid. However, the same shall apply only in the case where the Guest is thus informed by the Lodge when the period of Payment of the deposit is specified.
    • Article 4. Refusal of Accommodation Contracts
      1. The Lodge may not accept the conclusion of an Accommodation Contract
      under any of the following circumstances:
      2. When the application for accommodation does not conform with
      the provisions of these Terms and Conditions;
      3. When the Lodge is fully booked and there is no vacancy;
      4. When the Guest seeking accommodation is deemed liable to conduct
      himself/herself in a manner that will violate laws or act against the public
      order or good morals in regard to his/her accommodation;
      5. When the Guest seeking accommodation is considered to be corresponding to
      the following (a)to(c).
      A) The law in respect to prevention, etc. against illegal actions by a member of an organized crime group(1991 Law item 77)stipulated article 2 item 2(here in after referred to as "organized crime group".), a member of an organized crime group stipulated by the same law article 2 item 6(hereinafter referred to as "a member of an organized crime group."), a related company or association of an organized crime group, or any other equivalent person of
      above.
      B) When organized crime groups or members of an organized crime group are associates of corporations or other bodies to control business activities.
      C) When a corporate body has related persons to members of an organized crime group.
      6. When the Guest seeking accommodation behaves extremely in a mischievous way against other guests, neighborhood residents, or visitors.
      7. When the Guest seeking accommodation can be clearly detected as carrying an infectious disease.
      8. When the Guest seeking accommodation makes any demand as by threats of violence or assumes any other unreasonable burden with respect to the accommodation.
      9. When the Lodge is unable to provide accommodation due to natural disasters, malfunction of facilities and/or other causes of force majeure.
      10. When the case falls under prescribed in the prefectural ordinance;
    • Article 5. Right to Cancel Accommodation Contracts by the Guest
      1. The Guest is entitled to cancel the Accommodation Contract by notifying
      the Lodge.
      2. If the Guest has cancelled the Accommodation Contract in whole or in part due to causes for which the Guest is liable (except in the case when the Lodge has requested payment of the deposit during the specified period as prescribed in Paragraph 2 of Article 3 and the Guest has cancelled before payment), the Guest shall pay cancellation charges as listed in the Attached
      Table No. 2. However, in the case when a special contract as prescribed in Paragraph 1 of Article 4 has been concluded, the same shall apply only when the Guest is informed of the obligation of payment of cancellation charges in case of cancellation by the Guest.
      3. If the Guest does not appear by 7:00 p.m. of the accommodation date without advance notice (1 hours after the expected time of arrival if the Lodge is notified), the Lodge may regard the Accommodation Contract as being cancelled by the Guest.
    • Article 6. Right to Cancel Accommodation Contracts by the Lodge
      1. The Lodge reserves the right to cancel the Accommodation Contract under any of the following circumstances.
      A) When the Guest is deemed liable to conduct him/herself in a manner that contravenes the laws or acts against the public order or good morals with respect to the accommodation.
      B) When the Guest is deemed to be(a)to(c).
      1. In an organized crime group, a member of an organized crime group, a related company or association of an organized crime group, and any other equivalent person of above.
      2. In a person having such relationship with the organized crime group that shows the organized crime group' substantial involvement in the person's management.
      3. In a corporation whose director is a member ofan organized crime group.
      C) When the Guest behaves extremely in a mischievous way against other guests.
      D) When the Guest is clearly detected as carrying an infectious disease.
      E) When the Guest makes any demand as by threat of violence or assumes any other unreasonable burden with respect to the accommodation.
      F) When the Lodge is unable to provide accommodation due to natural disasters, malfunction of facilities and/or other causes of force majeure.
      G) When the case falls under prescribed in the prefectural ordinance.
      H) When the Guest does not refrain from prohibited actions stipulated in the Lodge's terms of use such as smoking in bed, tampering with fire-fighting equipment (restricted to particulars deemed necessary in over to prevent the outbreak of fires), or other related actions.
      I) When the Guest violates this application, or the term of use stipulated by the Lodge.
      2. If the Lodge cancels the Accommodation Contract in accordance with the provisions of the preceding Paragraph, the Lodge shall not charge the Guest for any services which he/she has not yet received in the contractual period.
    • Article 7. Registration
      1. The Guest shall register the following particulars the Front Desk of
      the Lodge on the day of accommodation:
      A) Name, age, sex, address and occupation of the Guest(s);
      B) Nationality, passport number, port and date of entry in Japan;
      C) Date and estimated time of departure; and
      D) Other particulars deemed necessary by the Lodge.
      2. In the case where the Guest intends to pay his/her accommodation charges prescribed in Article 12 by any means other than Japanese currency, such as traveler's cheque coupons or credit cards, these credentials shall be shown in advance at the time of the registration prescribed in the preceding Paragraph.
    • Article 8. Time Allowed for Use of the Guest room
      1. The time allowed for the Guest to use the guest room of our Lodge shall be from 3:00p.m. till 10:00a.m. of the following morning, except when the Guest stays for more than one night in succession, in which case the Guest may use the guest room all day except the day of arrival and the day of departure.
      2. Notwithstanding the provision of the preceding Paragraph, there are cases where our Lodge may accept the use of the guest room in hours other than those specified in the preceding Paragraph, in which case an additional charge will be required as specified below.
      A) Until 3:00PM/5,000 yen for each additional hour (including tax).
      B) After 3:00 PM guests will be charged for an additional night.
    • Article 9. Observance of the Terms of Use
      1. The Guest shall observe the Terms of Use stipulated by the Lodge. The Terms of Use are posted within the premises of the Lodge.
    • Article 10. Business Hours
      1. The business hours of the main facilities, etc. of the lodge are as follows, and those of other facilities, etc. Shall be notified in detail by brochures as provided, notices displayed in each place, Service directories in guest rooms and others.

      2. Hours may be shortened, or the service suspended for business reasons. In such a case, the Guest shall be informed by appropriate means.
    • Article 11. Payment of Accommodation Charges
      1. The breakdown of the Accommodation charges, etc. that the Guest shall pay is as listed in the Attached Table No.1.
      2. Accommodation Charges, etc. as stated in the preceding Paragraph shall be paid with Japanese currency or by any means other than Japanese currency such as traveler’s cheques, coupons or credit cards recognized by the Lodge at the time of the departure of the Guest or upon request by the Lodge.
      3. Accommodation Charges shall be paid even if the Guest voluntarily does not utilize the accommodation facilities provided for him by the Lodge and which are at his disposal.
    • Article 12. Liabilities of the Lodge
      1. The Lodge shall compensate the Guest for damage if the Lodge has caused such damage to the Guest in the fulfillment or the nonfulfillment of the Accommodation Contract and/or related agreements. However, the same shall not apply in cases where such damage has been caused due to reasons for which the Lodge is not liable.
      2. The Lodge is covered by Lodge Liability Insurance to deal with unexpected
      fire and/or other disasters.
    • Article 13. Handling when Unable to Provide Contracted Rooms
      1. The Lodge shall, when unable to provide contracted rooms, arrange
      accommodation of the same standard elsewhere for the Guest insofar as practicable with the consent of the Guest. The amount of damages that the Lodge will compensate for shall be limited to the amount of the Accommodation Charges.
      2. When arrangement of other accommodation cannot be made, notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding Paragraph, the Lodge shall pay the Guest a compensation fee equivalent to the cancellation charges and the compensation fee shall be applied to reparations. However, when the Lodge cannot provide accommodation due to causes for which the Lodge is not liable, the Lodge will not compensate the Guest.
    • Article 14. Handling of Deposited Articles
      The Lodge shall not accept any items, cash or valuables from the Guests.
    • Article 15. Custody of Baggage and/or Belongings of Guest
      1. When the baggage of the Guest is brought into the Lodge before his/her arrival, the Lodge shall be liable to store it only in the case when such a request has been accepted from the Lodge. The baggage shall be handed over to the Guest at the time of his/her check-in.
      2. When the baggage or belongings of the Guest are found after check-out the Lodge shall keep the items for a period of 7 days including the day it is found, and after this period, the Lodge shall turn it over to the nearest police station.
      3. In the case of the preceding two paragraphs, the Lodge shall not be liable for any damages for the custody of a guest's baggage or personal belongings, except in the case of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Lodge. The amount of damages compensated by the Lodge shall be limited to the amount of the Accommodation Charges.
    • Article 16. Liability in regard to Parking
      1. When the Guest uses the parking lot of the Lodge, the Lodge rents a space and is not responsible for the management of the vehicle. However, the Lodge will be liable for compensation for any damage caused by the Lodge's intentional or negligent management of the parking lot.
    • Article 17. Liability of the Guest
      1. When the Lodge suffers damages due to the intentional or negligent act of the Guest, said the Guest shall compensate this Lodge for such damages.
      Damages incurred by the Lodge under this paragraph shall include the following.
      A) Cleaning, construction, and reacquisition costs for facilities and equipment of the Lodge if the Lodge determines that contamination or damage beyond normal use has occurred.
      B) Replacement of locks when keys are lost
      2. If a third party suffers damage due to the intentional or negligent act of the Guest, the Guest shall compensate the third party for the damage. In addition, if the Lodge also suffers damage because of the third party's damage, the Guest shall compensate the Lodge for the damage in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph.
      3. The Lodge strictly prohibits criminal acts (theft of equipment, destruction of property, voyeurism, and any other acts contrary to the law) by the Guests at the Lodge. In the unlikely event that a criminal act is discovered, the Lodge will be held liable for damages (including ordinary damages, special damages, indirect damages, and lost earnings, as well as legal fees related to the Lodge) as stipulated in Paragraph 1. In addition to the claims for damages as stipulated in Paragraph 1 (including ordinary damages, special damages, indirect damages, lost earnings, and attorney's fees related to the Lodge) In addition, criminal proceedings will be taken.
    • Article 18. Handling of Personal Information
      1. Any personal information of the user obtained in connection with the use of the services provided by the Lodge or our Company, including services offered through our website, social network service, or through our business partners, shall be handled appropriately in accordance with the Company’s Privacy Policy.
    • Article 19. Waiver for Computer Communication Service
      1. Guests shall be liable for any use of computer communication services within the Lodge. The Lodge shall not be liable for any possible damages that may be caused by a systems failure or any other reasons while the computer communication services are being used. In addition, the Guest may be required to compensate the Lodge and third parties for any possible damages caused by the acts that the Lodge judge to be an inappropriate use of the computer communication systems.
    • Article 20. Severability
      1. Even if any provision of these Terms and Conditions, or any part thereof, is deemed invalid or unenforceable, such determination shall not affect the remaining provisions, and the rest of these Terms and Conditions shall remain in full force and effect.
    • Article 21. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
      1. The interpretation of these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Japan. In the event that any dispute arises in connection with this Service, the exclusive agreed jurisdiction shall be the District Court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company’s principal office.
    • Article 22. Others
      1. The Guest has no right to object to the usage and monitoring of security cameras in public spaces at the Lodge.

  • Terms of Use
    These Terms of Use (hereinafter, “these Terms”) set forth the conditions for using the services provided by the Lodge and this website (collectively, the “Services”).
    These Terms apply to all users of the Services.
    • Article 1. Consent to the Terms
      By using the Services, the user (“User”) is deemed to have given valid and irrevocable consent to these Terms. Users who do not agree to these Terms may not use the Services.
    • Article 2. User Registration
      1. Any person who wishes to use the Services shall apply for registration in accordance with the method prescribed by the Company after agreeing to these Terms.
      2. Registration for use of the Services shall be completed when the Company approves such application.
    • Article 3. Rejection of Registration
      1. The Company may refuse to approve an application for registration if it determines that any of the following circumstances applies. The Company shall not be obligated to disclose the reasons for such refusal.
      o If false information is submitted;
      o If the applicant has previously violated these Terms;
      o If the applicant is found to fall under any of the following items:
      1. An organized crime group, a member of an organized crime group, a quasi-member of an organized crime group, a person affiliated with an organized crime group, or any other antisocial force;
      2. A corporation or other organization whose business activities are controlled by an organized crime group or a member of an organized crime group;
      3. A corporation any of whose officers is a member of an organized crime group;
      o Any other case in which the Company deems registration inappropriate.
    • Article 4. Use by Minors
      1. If the User is a minor, the User must obtain the consent of a legal guardian before using the Services.
      2. If a User who started using the Services without obtaining such consent reaches the age of majority, the User shall be deemed to have ratified all acts of use performed while the User was a minor.
    • Article 5. Pet Accompanying Rules
      If the User fails to comply with the following “Obligations When Accompanying a Pet,” the User may not bring a pet to the Lodge.
      Please also review the list of items recommended for your stay and come prepared accordingly.
      1. Only one small dog is permitted to accompany the Guest.
      2. Pets that are not yet house-trained and may soil or damage floors or other surfaces are not permitted.
      3. Pets are strictly prohibited from entering the bedrooms and the tatami room. Entry is not allowed even when the pet is being held in the owner’s arms.
      4. Pets must not be placed on bedding, sofas, tables, or any other furniture intended for human use.
      5. The villa management shall bear no responsibility for any accidents, illnesses, loss, or any other troubles involving the pet.Obligations When Accompanying a Pet
      Guests accompanying a pet must comply with all of the following:
      1. Ensure that the pet has received rabies vaccination and combination vaccines in advance.
      2. Ensure that the pet is house-trained and does not soil indoors, and that it can use the designated toilet area. If there is any concern, have the pet wear a diaper.
      3. Bathe the pet 2–3 days before the stay and brush the pet before check-in. Do not bathe the pet in the villa’s bathroom.
      4. Never allow the pet to enter pet-restricted areas (bedrooms and tatami room), and take
      appropriate measures to prevent entry.
      5. Do not place the pet on beds, futons, sofas, tables, chairs, low tables, or similar furniture, and prevent pet hair from adhering to them.
      6. Do not allow the pet to sleep on bedding used by humans. Bring the pet’s usual bed or bedding and have the pet sleep there.
      7. Ensure that the pet’s barking does not disturb neighbors. Do not allow unnecessary barking; stop the pet immediately if it barks.
      8. Do not leave the pet alone in the villa. If it is absolutely unavoidable, place the pet in a pet crate or cage.
      9. If the pet has an accident (such as soiling) inside the villa or on the terrace, clean it thoroughly and inform the manager of the location.
      10. If the pet defecates in the garden or dog run, remove it completely and wash the area with water.
      11. If the pet urinates on the lawn, pour plenty of water over the area to rinse it thoroughly.
      12. Always use a leash when walking the pet. Wash the pet’s feet before bringing the pet back into the house. Do not dispose of pet waste in the toilet.
      13. If any damage, scratches, stains, or traces of excrement or odor caused by the pet are identified, such damage shall be subject to compensation for damages.
    • Article 6. Recommended Items to Prepare When Staying with a Pet
      Guests are advised to prepare the following items when staying with a pet:
      - Leash, collar, harness, ID tag
      - Rain gear
      - Cage, playpen, or carrier
      - Pet bedding, fabric covers
      - Familiar mats or rugs
      - Usual food and treats
      - Familiar bowls and toys
      - Toilet sheets
      - Male wraps or pet diapers
      - Waste bags, toilet set, deodorizing spray
      - Lint roller, cleaning cloths, foot wipes
      - Cleaning rags, garbage bags
      - Towels, bath towels
      - Brush, hair dryer
      - Regular medications or first-aid supplies
    • Article 7. Precautions for Use of Sauna
      1. The sauna is located outdoors on a locked wooden deck. Please take the dedicated sauna key from inside the Lodge, unlock the wooden deck door, and then enter the sauna area.
      2. When moving between the Lodge and the sauna, Guests must wear the sauna poncho provided by the Lodge or their own clothing.
      3. The sauna is located across the road in front of the Lodge, next to the parking area on the opposite side. In consideration of nearby residents, Guests must not move between the Lodge and the sauna with the upper or lower body naked.
      4. The sauna uses an electric heater. Please read the usage instructions provided in the Lodge before use. After setting the output and timer, it will take approximately 30–40 minutes for the sauna to warm up.
      5. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the sauna and on the wooden deck.
    • Article 8. Smoking
      1. Smoking is prohibited throughout the Lodge, including indoor areas, the parking area, the sauna, and the wooden deck, in order to avoid disturbing nearby residents.
      2. Even outdoors, smoking is allowed only in designated areas. Please refer to the in-house guide for the designated smoking area.
    • Article 9. Electric Vehicle Charging
      1. The parking area at the Lodge is equipped with a 200V outlet for charging electric vehicles.
      2. If the Guest contacts the Lodge in advance, the charging facility may be used at a rate of 1,000 JPY per day.
      3. Guests must bring their own connectors, cables, and related equipment for charging.
    • Article 10. Prohibited Conduct
      1. In using the Services, Users shall not engage in any of the following acts:
      - Acts that cause nuisance to nearby residents (such as making loud noise, persistent dog barking, karaoke, or noise late at night or early in the morning);
      - Barbecues, fireworks, or loud conversations after 9:00 p.m.;
      - Smoking or use of fire inside the building;
      - Use of fire on the premises (except for optional barbecue or smoking in designated areas);
      - Bringing any person onto the premises of the villa who is not included in the reservation (including persons who do not stay overnight or dine);
      - Collecting, cutting, or breaking trees, plants, or other vegetation on or around the premises;
      - Acts that are contrary to public order and morals, or are likely to be so; acts that cause inconvenience to later users;
      - Acts that violate laws, court judgments, decisions or orders, or legally binding administrative measures, or acts that encourage such violations;
      - Criminal acts or acts related to criminal activities;
      - Acts that infringe the intellectual property rights of the Company or any third party;
      - Acts that infringe the portrait rights, privacy, honor, or other rights or interests of the Company or any third party;
      - Acts that place an excessive load on, or interfere with the normal operation of, the servers or
      networks of the Company or any third party;
      - Acts that may interfere with the operation of the Services;
      - Acts of unauthorized access or attempts thereat;
      - Use of the Services for illegal, wrongful, or improper purposes;
      - Acts that cause disadvantage, damage, or discomfort to other users or third parties;
      - Impersonation of another user;
      - Use of another user’s account;
      - Acts aimed at meeting persons of the opposite sex whom the user has not previously met;
      - Acts of directly or indirectly providing benefits to antisocial forces;
      - Any other acts that violate public order and morals;
      - Any other acts that the Company deems inappropriate.
      2. The User warrants that the User will not, either by the User themself or through a third party,
      engage in any of the following acts:
      - Violent demands;
      - Unjust demands beyond legal responsibility;
      - Threatening behavior or use of violence in connection with transactions;
      - Spreading rumors, using fraud or force to damage the credibility of the Company or to obstruct the business of the Company;
      - Any other acts similar to the foregoing.
    • Article 11. Prohibited Items and Animals
      The following items and animals must not be brought into the Lodge or its premises:
      - Firearms, swords, explosives, volatile oils, LP gas, or other flammable or highly combustible materials, and items emitting strong odors;
      - Any animals other than the pet(s) approved at the time of reservation.
    • Article 12. Rules for Use of Buildings, Facilities, Furniture, and Equipment
      Users shall comply with the following when using buildings, facilities, furniture, and equipment:
      - Do not use them for any purpose other than their intended use;
      - Do not remove them from the premises, and return them to their original location in their original condition after use;
      - If any item is damaged or soiled, the Guest shall promptly contact the manager.
    • Article 13. Compensation for Damages
      1. If, due to the negligence of the Guest (including acts by pets), any building, facility, furniture, fixture, key, or similar item is damaged, soiled, or lost, the Guest shall bear the cost of replacement, repair, or cleaning of the relevant item.
      2. If burn marks or odors caused by smoking are found inside or outside the building, the Guest shall bear the cost of replacement of the affected items or house cleaning.
      3. For damages arising from acts in violation of the prohibited matters, the Guest shall pay a penalty equal to the amount of damage as compensation.
    • Article 14. Check-in and Check-out
      1. Check-in is from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Guests who expect to arrive after 6:00 p.m. must contact the Lodge in advance.
      2. Check-out is at 10:00 a.m. After 10:00 a.m., staff may enter the premises for cleaning in preparation for the next guests.
      3. If the Guest wishes to request early check-in or late check-out, the Guest must consult with the Lodge by the day before. If accepted, an additional accommodation charge of 2,000 JPY (excluding tax) per hour will be charged.
    • Article 15. Heating Charge
      From October through March, a heating charge of 3,000 JPY will be charged.
    • Article 16. Changes to the Services
      The Company may change the content of the Services or suspend or terminate the provision of the Services at any time without notice to the User.
      The Company shall not be liable for any damage incurred by the User as a result thereof.
    • Article 17. Changes to the Terms
      1. The Company may change these Terms at any time without notice to the User.
      2. The revised Terms shall become effective at the time they are posted on the Company’s website.
      3. A User who continues to use the Services after the Terms have been changed shall be deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.
    • Article 18. Notices and Communications
      1. Notices and communications between the User and the Company shall be made by such methods as the Company designates.
      2. Unless the User notifies the Company of a change in the registered contact information in accordance with the method separately prescribed by the Company, the Company may deem the currently registered contact information to be valid and send notices or communications to such contact information. Such notices or communications shall be deemed to have reached the User at the time they are sent.
    • Article 19. Relationship with Other Rules
      1. These Terms shall apply to all relationships between the User and the Company in connection with the use of the Services.
      2. The Company may establish separate rules or guidelines (regardless of their title) in relation to the use of the Services. Such rules shall constitute a part of these Terms.
      3. If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and such rules, the rules shall prevail.

      This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) sets forth how Ferie Inc. (“the Company”) handles users’ personal information in connection with the services provided by the Company, including the accommodations
      (the “Lodge”), this website (collectively, the “Services”), and no distinction is made between the two unless otherwise specified. Unless otherwise distinguished, all services are collectively referred to as the “Services”
    • Definition of Personal Information
      “Personal Information” refers to “personal information” as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan, meaning information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific person, including information that can be easily matched with other data to identify an individual. The Company may obtain the following information from customers:
      - Name (including nicknames or pen names)
      - Email address
      - Telephone number
      - Address
      - Payment information such as credit card number, bank account details, or electronic payment data
